The wonderfully bright and chipper colors along with the bold thick lines and chaotic clutter make for an adorably fun piece! =x-13-x beautifully captured the personalities of each and every characters as well as the youthful exuberance that all these brawl stars convey when they are in action. The coloring is so smooth and neat you'd think it was done digitally! It's really fun to look at because I seem to keep finding something in it that I didn't notice before, like the flower next to Lord Falco and the bomb next to Peach! An overall awesome work that made me want to pick up my controller again.
This is an awesome piece, to begin with. I love all the bright and vibrant colors, and that all their expressions and eye-direction keeps the viewer's eye within the composition. I also love the lineweight variety, but as far as critique, I wonder if there was a way to make the picture field more dynamic with depth of space. I feel like although the lineweight on each character is individually fantastic, when they're all thrown onto the same canvas, the lineweight doesn't denote the closeness of the character to the "camera." Thicker lineweight, closer up, thinner lineweight father back, as well as lacking a sense of atmospheric perspective, wherein the characters further back would be lighter and less saturated. All that being said, it seems like this piece is definitely meant as more of a flat-collage than a smash brothers "scene." And going on that notion, it makes for a great collage, though Fox could have been pulled out more so that we don't lose his face. Other than that, this is a fun and active piece!
